Royal Victorian Chain

King Edward VII founded in August 1902 the “Royal Victorian Chain”, which is only bestowed on special occasions, and, although forming no part of the Royal Victorian Order, may be worn on all occasions when other insignia of British Orders of Chivalry are worn; it is of a different and much lighter design than the Collar.
